I went through an Ira Levin phase in late high school and it was all because of this movie. For some reason movies where there are occults and satanism are the kinds that scare me the most. This one didn't disappoint.I never felt that the book was that overly scary, but Mia Farrow in the movie was just awesome as an unsure new mother. She wasn't sure if the things she was seeing were real or just her going crazy. I loved it!
It was creepy but wouldn't have been nearly as tense without her acting.
Ahhhhhhhh! This one scared the heck out of me in junior high!!! :-)
