The Thing I Hate...And the Thing I Love

I read Ruined by Pamela Morris recently. I got really into it and basically read straight through. It was a really good read: good storyline, a mini-romance, but what I really loved about it was the New Orleans talk. The history, the city, the traditions. It made me want to stay in that world. I give it 4 cookies out of 5. So, now I am finding it hard to get into anything new!

I started the Demon's Lexicon by Sarah Rees Breannan, off of a recommendation from a fellow reader (and look at the cover, just the image you want to fall asleep with in your head every night, yum!) I am listening to Bloody Jack by L.A. Meyer (the first one), because the audio versions of these books win awards every year. And they should, excellent narrator, (plus my niece recommended these books to me).

I am also supposed to be reading three other books: two (one & two) for a blog tour (I am a bit nervous about this because I am not that strong at reviewing books) and one for the Barnes and Noble first look club.

BUT, I am not really into any of them. And that is what I hate. To go from a great reading experience to a meh type of reading experience. Maybe this weekend I will have some time to really get into one of these!

On the other hand, wasn't TV last night awesome? The Vampire Diaries was very good, I LOVED Supernatural, and thought 30 Rock was hysterical.
