Thoughts As I Read: ALL THE TRUTH THAT'S IN ME by Julie Berry

*started on October 1.

*some people have complained about the second person narrative and the very short chapters.  I don't find it problematic at all.  In fact, I am enjoying them because I feel that I am reading the book faster.  And I am whipping through it.

*even though there is no mention of the time that this book takes place it is obviously very long ago.  The thing that bothers me the most if how quickly Lucas is judged for what happened in the battle.  Everyone blames him but if any of them actually examined his actions over the past few years they would know he is innocent.

*about halfway through now.  I am really, really hoping for a happy ending for Judith.  And that she is able to do something to clear Lucas' name!

*I read and enjoyed Ms. Berry's Amaranth Enchantment.  It was a sweet fairy tale type story.  So the fat that she can write a book that is written so different and has such disturbing themes really impresses me.  She is able to push herself into a new zone.

*there are just so many ways that Judith breaks my heart!  I would like to beat her mom and everyone in town for being so awful to her!

*I am about 3/4 of the way through and kind of filled with dread. I am very afraid for Lucas. I have read a lot of positive reviews so that leaves me hopeful of a happy ending, but a lot needs to resolved for that!

*how I would hate to live in this controling of a society!

*awesome. Just great. Excellent read!
