This past week I have not gotten any new books. None.
I didn't buy any, I didn't get any in the mail, I didn't get any from NetGalley (although I did request 2, just haven't been approved yet)(did you see the sequel to The Wide Awake Princess is on there?! SO EXCITED!!)
I think this is the first week that has happened since I really started blogging, or buying on sale books for my Nook.
It was kind of relaxing to not add anything to my TBR shelves--they are full enough.
My whole goal this year was to not request ARCs, and I have done pretty good. It's really hard not to accept when someone sends you an email offering to send you one, and I have won some from contests, but overall, I am doing well.
I did bring home over 50 books from my library shelves for summer reading (not that I am going to get 50 read, but I like to have a variety) so really, I added a TON to my shelves, I just didn't acquire anything.
I wonder how long that will last...

ReplyDeleteI do, but AFTER I posted this I got approved for two NetGalley books. But since they aren't downloaded and put on my Nook yet I am not going to count them...

ReplyDeleteI will post a picture of my library books soon. I tried to get a good variety so I had something for every mood and desire! AND it's been raining here so I have been doing a lot more reading!!
DeleteI brought a huge bag home of library books from school to read over the summer as well. Hopefully I will get more than half of them read. I've tried to request less books as well-I really struggle with getting reviews written with the rest of my life to balance. I'm glad to see you are working at this as well.
