Review: The Reapers are the Angels by Alden Bell

I am not going to review this the normal way because I wasn't even going to review it. This is an adult book, but it is also an Alex Award winner. I have made it an unofficial goal to read all the Alex Award winners for this year. This is my second one.

Here are my thoughts:

I likes it, it was a quick read. The author doesn't use quotation marks and the always bothers me. I did get over it pretty quickly.

Temple was awesome. I adored her. She was tough, but amazingly open minded and with such a good heart.

The power was still working! The author never said whether computers were just running it all (which actually makes sense), or if people just started getting the power plants working again.

I also thought it was way more realistic that there was an abundance of supplies still. Temple was always able to find food & gas, and this was 15 years later. I think that's pretty true to how it would be. The author gave this world a lot of thought and made it very believable.

There were still really crappy things going on with the survivors.

There was a lot about this book I enjoyed, but it was not an overall uplifting read, hence not my favorite zombie book (that would be Rot & Ruin of course), but I am glad I read it!
