In My Mailbox #1

Although Kristi, The Story Siren hosts In My Mailbox every week, and I love reading those posts from around the blogosphere (no matter how bad they are for my TBR list) I have never participated. But this week I got one book in the mail that I have longed for and I feel the need to share!
Thanks to Lauren at Random House I got this:

If you have read my blog for any length of time and seen how much I love The Penderwicks you can imagine my reaction when I opened this package. It made my whole month (and you know how gray and ugly February can be)! I have smiled ever since (but I am not starting it quite yet because I feel like I need to savor it...and maybe have some fresh peanut butter m&m's to eat while I read).

  1. Oh my! You are so so lucky! I can't wait to read this book. I love The Penderwick as well, and I must admit, I am a tiny bit jealous here :)
It's probably one of my most awaited book of 2011. I hope you like it and I can't wait to read your thoguhts on it!

  4. You know, I have The Penderwicks in my TBR pile but I have never run across any book bloggers who have reviewed it too enthusiastically -- your excitement for the new novel has just made me think that I should make the original more of a priority!

I'm glad you decided to do IMM because I just discovered your blog through your IMM link and now I'm really excited to check out your reviews. I love YA blogs that include Children's Lit and classics, kinda like my own blog...

  6. I'll look for this book. I knew someone by the last name of Birdsall. Not the same person I'm sure, but I'm intrigued.
