This -N- That

Did you realize that the new Artemis Fowl came out today? I didn't until I got to Borders to look for I Am Number Four (which was not in yet) and saw Artemis Fowl: the Atlantis Complex. I am so super excited!

And I wonder if I want to read I Am Number Four so much because I have heard good things or because it is already being made into a movie starring Alex Pettyfer (aka Alex Rider) and Timothy Olyphant (who is just one of my faves).

Have you checked out From the Mixed Up Files of Middle Grade Authors yet? They have been having some great giveaways--including a new one today that has copies of The Life and Opinions of Amy Finawitz by Laura Toffler-Corrie, The Samantha Granger Experiment: Fused by Kari Lee Townsend and How Lamar's Bad Prank Won a Bubba Sized Trophy by Crystal Allen.

And try as I might to not acquire any new books, sometimes I cannot help it--but I didn't buy Artemis yet. I am waiting a few days to make sure I Am Number Four does not show up.

Lastly, Presenting Lenore is having dystopian month. I love dystopian books and she has an awesome giveaway for anyone who writes a review of a dystopian novel in August. I think I held back on reading The Enemy by Charlie Higson for just this purpose!
