Are there any books you've read that you love that you just know you will never read again?

I can safely say that I loved the whole Chaos Walking trilogy (The Knife of Never Letting Go, The Ask and the Answer and Monsters of Men) but that I also will never read it again. Too many emotions.

I also loved Peter and the Starcatchers but I am not sure I will ever read that again. I remember it being long and boring in the middle, but that I loved how it ended. I would listen to the audio version thought because Jim Dale performs it.

So, lay it on me. What book did you love that you just will probably never pick up again?

I love The Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner, but thought I'd never read the second book again: too emotionally draining. However, I'm actually planning a re-read of the entire series now, after the memory of the pains has faded. :)

  2. I have never read that Sandy. I need to do that this summer, at least The Thief.

I won't read books again if I really really loved them, because I don't want to lose that excitment from the first time. One I'v read recently like that is When You Read Me. I'm afriad to lose the magic from that first read.

It was beautiful and so well written but heart wrenching.
