An Author I Want To Read: Zilpha Keatley Snyder

When Elizabeth Bird (NYC Librarian Extraordinaire & writer of Fuse #8) did her first Top 100 Chapter Books Poll a few years ago The Egypt Game came in at number 100.  Elizabeth did a fantastic write-up about the book and made me really want to read it.  I also searched my library for any books of Ms. Snyder's that I had and found The Headless Cupid.  I remember this one being in my sister's room when we were growing up.  But, I never read it.  Zilpha Keatley Snyder has written over 40 books and I have never read any of them!  How does that happen?

I was looking over The Egypt Game a few weeks back and a reader in my library saw me and made sue to tell me what a great book it was.  When an 8th grade boy recommend a book to me I need to listen!  This is a book I will be reading soon!

Do you have any experience with The Egypt Game or any other books by Ms. Snyder?  Tell me about it!

    1. I know. It sounds like one I would have loved if I had read it back when I was 12. I have to get this one read, no more excuses (except I can't find our copy right now!).

"The Egypt Game" was one of my absolute favorite books when I was a kid. My sister and I even made our own Egypt game after reading it.
