Review: Forever by Maggie Stiefvater

4 soft and sugary ginger cookies.

Cover Love: Yes! And it fits in with the others. I like how it is a muted red.

Why I Wanted to Read This:
Because Maggie Stiefvater has created a wonderful world with new mythologies and an epic love story with her Mercy Falls series. I was dying to know how it all ended! Here is the synopsis from Good Reads:

The thrilling conclusion to #1 bestselling Shiver trilogy from Maggie Stievater

In Maggie Stiefvater's SHIVER, Grace and Sam found each other. In LINGER, they fought to be together. Now, in FOREVER, the stakes are even higher than before. Wolves are being hunted. Lives are being threatened. And love is harder and harder to hold on to as death comes closing in.

I Kept Reading Because: This was such a beautifully written book! It was hard to put down.

Romance?: Of course!

What I Liked (& Didn't):
Maggie ratcheted up the tension by throwing in the whole wolf hunt. Now it wasn't about Grace and Sam being able to both be human and be together it was about saving the lives of these wolves/people we have come to know and love over the last two books.

By the way, if you are reading this review and haven't read Shiver or Linger go do that now. You will not regret it.

I love Sam (still)!

There are not many authors that can so effortlessly write in so many different characters' voices. Maggie is amazing at this. The transitions between characters are seamless!

This is one of those books that you read on faith. Faith that what you loved about the first two books will not be forgotten by the author. That she will take you back there and you will love it all over again.

There is really nothing more to say! You read this book because you loved Shiver and Linger and Sam and Grace. And you will be sad (because it is ending) no matter what your feelings about the end.

To Sum Up: A good conclusion to a wonderful trilogy. I say good because it's sad to see it ending. It was a great book.

Book requested and received from Scholastic. Thanks Candace!
