Addicting Zombies

Here's my story for the evening:

Thursday, what an awesome night. Really close to the weekend, great TV, and last night NCAA basketball. I had some family over, made dinner and chocolate brownie sundaes for dessert, then found a quiet spot to watch Supernatural (and last night's episode was about zombies, that ties in nicely as you will see in a minute).

After Supernatural I got my youngest son all snuggled in to read and then went downstairs to catch the end of the basketball games with my older son and husband. And since I cannot seem to do more than one thing at a time decided to get on the computer. I found this interview from the Story Siren with Carrie Ryan. The Dead Tossed Waves is one book I am very excited to read (I loved her first The Forest of Teeth and Hands--one of the only dystopian novesl to give me bad dreams--well, this one and The Stand, but that was way back in high school). In her interview she lists her top ten zombie things, one of which is Plants vs. Zombies. I promptly downloaded it and OMGosh! Is that an addicting game?! I can't even figure out why it is addicting--it's like there is something subliminal about it! I played until midnight--thank you Carrie Ryan!!

One of her other favorite zombie things is World War Z which I have checked out twice and never gotten around to reading it, I guess I am going to have to make it happen!!

Here's the video for Plants vs. Zombies that Carrie Ryan talks about in her interview:

  1. Dang! I can't watch it (school filters = argh!). I'll have to peek at it later tonight. It sounds fun. :-)

I'm addicted to zombie books, so I'll need to check out this game. Although if its addicting as you say I might not want to! And I love Carrie Ryans Forest of Hands and can't wait to read The Dead Tossed.
