I am going to update periodically to let you know what I am reading this summer. I started out with a bang and got several things read:
The Big Splash by Jack Ferraiolo. Wonderful book, five star all the way. Probably best for a little older kids (6th grade and up), but I highly recommend it!
Again for a little older readers, The Ask and The Answer by Patrick Ness. This is the sequel to The Knife of Never Letting Go which was amazing. The first one ended on such a cliffhanger that I ordered this one from Amazon even though they had to get it from England for me (it won't be published in the US until fall). This book was equally amazing and it ended on such a cliff hanger. I don't know how long I'll have to wait for the next one, but I am not looking forward to it! I am even buying the first one for my older brotehr for his birthday because I know he'd love it also!
First Shot by Walter Sorrells. Good mystery that kept me guessing until the very end!
I am also listeing to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (gotta get this done before the movie in July) and Pride & Prejudice & Zombies which is hysterical. It would be fine for a young adult, boy or girl. I am listeing to it though because I have a hard time reading Jane Austen and the man who write this pretty much used the same text and just threw in a bit of bloody mayhem!
I hope you are all finding good books to read this summer! Check below or in the links on the side for ideas!!
I'm actually listening to the Half Blood Prince on CD in preparation for the movie. It's wonderful going back and visisting these old friends, isn't it?
